Explain & Quantify Budget Differences that relate to Weather | New Feature

Abnormal seasonal weather can materially impact energy consumption and therefore create large budget variations. Trying to explain these differences and quantify them can be difficult and time consuming. To help users understand the implication weather effects can have, we have introduced the capability to quantify the relationship between consumption, Heating Degree Days (HDD) and Cooling Degree Days (CDD) data.

To help visualise this data, we’ve included a new analytics tool which displays the relationship between HDD & CDD data, energy consumption, and weather adjusted performance versus your budget. The tool allows you to quantify the impact of weather on your budget and therefore compare your performance.

The key benefit of bringing HDD & CDD data into the equation is that you can track what the adjustment spends and budget should be, whilst quantifying the impact on performance Vs budget.

Save time with our new Pre Bill Check Reports | Updated Feature

You can check and correct your data before bills arrive with the Hub’s Pre Bill Check Reports. We’ve made several improvements based on customer feedback to improve usability, speed and clarity of these reports. The Pre Bill Check Reports allow you to check your meter data, your tariff information and price information so that, when your bills arrive, you can be confident the data you are using is up to date.

Our goal is to significantly reduce your administration time, and we believe the management of your data is a key part of helping your achieve this.

For more information see Pre Bill Check Report.

Map your EDIs/XLS bills to your EnergyTariffs | New Feature

We are optimising the user experience for bill validators by giving you control to be able to map your EDI/XLS bills to your Energy Tariffs in the Energy.Hub. Suppliers often have different names which appear in their EDI Bills, compared to the names used on their Energy Tariffs/Bills. Managing this data relationship is important to completing bill validation. Admin users now have the ability to map these charges, as well as create a user- friendly name, which will then appear throughout their Energy.Hub system.

For more information see Pricing & Bill Component Mapping.

Save time identifying validation issues with the Primary/Secondary Reports | Updated Feature

We’re very focused on how we reduce the time it takes you to complete validation, and importantly making sure you only raise disputes which are real and are of value. In validation a dispute on a shadow bill could actually be the result of a consumption difference. In this case we call the Shadow Bill the Secondary issue, whereas the Consumption is the Primary issue. You can see this type of information on the Primary/Secondary report, where we’ve made several improvements based on customer feedback to improve usabilityspeed and clarity of these reports.

This report is now available in the EDI Billing Screen (so you can look at each EDI), the Reporting Section (so you can look at all the EDIs in a month) and the Analytics Section (so you can view the validation issues over time).

For more information see Primary & Secondary Validation.
